EEM accompanied a major Canadian printing company in forging a sustainable development strategy.
Approach and Solution
Working for a major Canadian printer and leading publisher of consumer magazines and educational books, EEM developed and facilitated a number of high-level workshops to align the company’s efforts on environmental and social performance and develop a sustainable development strategy. With a new understanding of sustainability issues, EEM assisted with the development of training tools to mobilize the top 300 managers. EEM now plays a key role in the Sustainable Development Steering Committee of the company, currently developing corporate sustainability objectives and addressing stakeholder engagement.
Results
The most publicly visible result of the work is the company’s first Sustainability Report, published in February 2010.
