EEM offered a support for the implementation of a management system ISO 14001 for the installation of a nickel transfer from Glencore a Transfer Port.

Approach and Solution

Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations, a section of Glencore, performs a transfer center in a Port. Installations are used to transfer nickel concentrated and nickel matte between a mine, a smelting plant and a refinery. Since spring 2014, EEM offers support for the implementation of a management system ISO 14001 including procedures translation, people’s and sub-contractors training and internal audits of system as well as regulatory compliance audit.

Results

The organisation aims to obtain the certification of the ISO 14001 norm for its installations during the fall 2015.
