EEM worked with a mining client to develop a multi-year community relations plan aligned with community needs.

Approach and Solution

EEM helped a mining client to develop a multi-year community relations plan for the two communities in which it operates. The plan aligned community priorities defined by previously obtained community baseline data, stakeholder engagement feedback, regional/municipal planning, and business objectives. It was developed through an interactive process involving community and key internal stakeholders in the determination of community engagement targets and activities, as well as key performance indicators and specific metrics aimed at understanding outputs and their impact on the community.

Results

This plan will help to secure the objectives of the business while addressing issues and opportunities of mutual concern to both community and company.
