Summary

EEM guided a major North American print, media and marketing communications company in the development of its first Sustainability Report.

Approach and Solution

EEM guided and advised the company’s Sustainable Development Steering Committee through the production phases of an inaugural report on Sustainable Development in accordance with the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). While the Committee was charged with gathering the information, EEM oversaw the development of the format and content, and produced the text of the report.

Results

Released in February 2009 alongside its Annual Report, the Sustainability Report obtained a GRI level C application check. EEM went on to guide the company towards GRI level B reporting in 2010, 2011 and 2012. While full reports are no longer produced annually, EEM remains a trusted partner in the final production of the shorter Corporate Responsibility Reports.
